If you have found an abandoned animal, call the police. They will handle the pickup and contact us.

1️⃣ The first step is to fill out the pre-adoption form.

2️⃣ The team will review the form, and if deemed suitable, we will contact you to schedule an appointment to visit the shelter.

3️⃣ At the shelter, once everything is clear, you would take the dog on a 15-day trial period.

4️⃣ If the trial is satisfactory, the adoption would be finalized. Adoption is free, but at the time of finalization, you will need to cover the initial veterinary costs, including the microchip and passport, rabies vaccination, and spaying or neutering.

At Vedama, we focus on dogs and occasionally other animals. However, since the establishment of Refugi Gats d'Oliva, we do not work with cats. For adoption or information about cats, we recommend you contact them directly.

We currently need bleach, hand dishwashing liquid, frankfurter sausages, cheese wedges, canned food for dogs and cats, cat litter and blankets, sheets, towels, etc.

We need volunteers to help us at the shelter. There's a lot of work to do every day: taking care of a large number of furry friends that need to be fed, walked, cleaned, and given lots of love every day, from Monday to Sunday.
