Mars is a very affectionate furry friend who loves cuddles and strokes. Despite his size, he is still a baby who enjoys observing, smelling, and exploring the world.
Mars arrived at the kennel in late 2021, where we rescued him in February. He was living with a lot of stress there, as he is a very affectionate dog and had many deficiencies. He could barely leave his cage once a day, so he is not used to walking on a leash, but he is learning with the volunteers.
Mars was found on the street with Liam, Pinya, and a puppy. They were taken to the shelter. Nothing else is known about his past. No one asked for them. What we do know is that he is a charming little baby who has us all in love.

Dear Three Wise Men,
My name is Mars. This will be my third Christmas in the shelter, and while they take great care of me here and love me (I’m even someone’s favorite!), I know there’s something more waiting for me out there: a home where I can be part of a family. A place where I can feel the warmth of a hug, enjoy cuddles, and hear someone tell me they love me every single day.
I’ve never known what it’s like to have a real home. I spent my days in a kennel and now in the shelter. I’m not complaining because I’m very happy here, and I know if I leave, the moms here would miss me a lot. But my biggest wish is to have someone who sees me, chooses me, and makes me feel like I’ve finally found my forever family. A family that will love me unconditionally, just me (though if I had a sibling, I’d happily share the cuddles!). A family that will care for me, work with me, and most of all, be with me forever.
But I don’t just want to ask for myself. I have many companions here in the shelter, and they’re hoping for the same thing: a chance to be loved. Each of them is incredible; they just need someone to get to know them, accept their personality, their fears, insecurities, preferences, and quirks, and, above all, love them for who they are. Because everyone deserves to be part of a family that makes them feel special.
So, Three Wise Men, my wish is for a family that can see me the way the moms at Vedama see me. And I hope that same opportunity reaches all the furry friends living in shelters.
With lots of love,
Marsito

UKE 781 days

  4. Height (approx.):

  5. Accepts other dogs?
    Yes
  6. Accepts children?
    Yes

Uke arrived at the shelter in poor condition. He was thin and had no hair around his neck, so we think he must have spent a long time tied to a chain. Over time, he has become increasingly happy and playful. And even though he is a big dog, Uke is still a young pup who, at his young age, has already suffered mistreatment, been rescued and recovered, and is more than ready to find a family willing to take him in and love him as one of their own.

Tucson arrived at the shelter because he was seen walking alone in the city, and although he was wearing a collar, he had no microchip and no one ever came to look for him, so he became part of our family. Tucson is a very calm and affectionate dog who loves company. In addition, he gets along very well with all the other dogs, so we think he could live with another one without any problem.

Dear Three Wise Men,
I’m Tucson, a dog living in a shelter. This year, I would like to ask you for a comfortable and really cool harness. With a harness, I walk much better than with a collar, and I also feel safer and happier when I go out to explore the world with the volunteers.
With love,
Tucson

ADOPTION PROCESS

First, the pre-adoption form must be filled out.

PRE-ADOPTION FORM

Our goal will always be to ensure the best possible future for the animal. Therefore, the vedama team will review the form and, if deemed suitable, we will contact you to schedule an appointment to visit the shelter.

At the shelter, once everything is clear, you would take the dog in temporary foster care for 15 days. This foster care is necessary, as during these 15 days, the animal may not adapt to your lifestyle.

If the foster care is satisfactory, the adoption would be formalized. Adoption is free, but at the time of formalizing it, you'll need to cover the initial veterinary costs, which include microchipping and passport, rabies vaccination, and spaying/neutering.

BIG LOVE
PROGRAM

BIG LOVE PROGRAM

Based on experience, every furry friend in this section has a lower chance of being adopted, either due to their advanced age, physical condition, etc.

Therefore, we propose a deal: if you give these angels a chance, we'll cover the initial adoption costs (microchip, spaying/neutering, etc.).
